VP of Campaign Strategy - “Tok About Your Rights” Free Speech and First Amendment Rights PR Campaign

For our final assignment in my Public Relations Campaigns class, each student was assigned to a group and was to create a campaign for the George Mason University Office of Student Media. While our campaign was originally supposed to be completed and promoted in person on campus, we were only able to create a proposal due to COVID-19 occurring mid-semester.

When my group started to plan our proposal, because we were in the midst of Covid-19, we started to talk about how most of us had recently downloaded Tik Tok and how the app had become more popular amongst our age group, thus “Tok About Your Rights” was born - using the app as an educational tool where you not only learn from other users posting on the topic, but you as the creator take the knowledge in your hands to creatively manifest it in your own way to pass it on.

I served as the VP of Campaign Strategy. Below are some of our digital samples.

Not only was our presentation respected by our classmates and professor, “Tok About Your Rights” was the WINNING campaign for the assignment and was featured in the Office of Student Media’s newsletter that month.
